$5 Screenings: Labyrinth
Our ongoing collaboration with the Knoxville Museum of Art descends into the Labyrinth with Jim Henson’s perennial fantasy favorite, screening for just $5 (KMA members get in free!) Wednesday May 6 preceded by two music videos involving designer/puppeteer Wayne White, whose KMA exhibit Revenge of the Knoxville Girl continues through July 12.
Can’t make it Wednesday? We’ll also be presenting two additional $5 encore screenings, including a Saturday matinee during Holleroo 2026!
Young Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) is left home alone by her parents and she has to babysit her little brother Toby. But the baby keeps crying and Sarah, while telling him a story from one of her books to make him sleep, inadvertently conjures from a fantasy world the Goblin King (David Bowie), who steals the child and brings him to his castle in the middle of a labyrinth. Sarah has to rescue him before midnight, or the baby will became a goblin forever.
“A real masterpiece of puppetry and special effects, an absolutely gorgeous children’s fantasy movie.” – Chicago Tribune
