Central Cinema is thrilled to welcome Hugo award-winning author Timothy Zahn, whose extensive work in the Star Wars literary canon – most notably 1991-1993’s Thrawn trilogy, which introduced the titular fan favorite – made him one of the franchise’s most notable Lucas-era contributors. Join us as Zahn takes the stage to discuss his career and creations before introducing a screening of 1980’s STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. (Mr. Zahn is in town for Snake Eyes Comics’ Spring Into Comics convention March 7-8, appearing courtesy of Utopia Toys and Models.)

After the destruction of the Death Star, Imperial forces continue to pursue the Rebels on the ice planet Hoth. Luke journeys to the planet Dagobah to train with Jedi Master Yoda, who has lived in hiding since the fall of the Republic. In an attempt to convert Luke to the dark side, Darth Vader lures young Skywalker into a trap in the Cloud City of Bespin.
