Sing-Along Screening: Little Shop of Horrors

Directed by
Frank Oz

Little Shop of Horrors webMeek flower shop assistant Seymour (Rick Moranis) pines for co-worker Audrey (Ellen Greene). During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant he names Audrey II (Levi Stubbs), which feeds only on human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the previously struggling store. After Seymour feeds Audrey’s boyfriend, Orin (Steve Martin), to the plant after Orin’s accidental death, he must come up with more bodies for the increasingly bloodthirsty plant.

The Knoxville Gay Men’s Chorus returns for another Thursday night singalong screening as we present Frank Oz’s incomparable horror musical, packed with classic songs from THE LITTLE MERMAID’s Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. (Don’t feel like singing along? Consider joining us for our Friday night director’s cut encore, featuring the apocalyptic original ending!)

“With its toe-tapping cadences, its class cast and its king-sized cabbage, it’s destined to become a classic of camp comedy.” – Washington Post
